The Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force is announcing two FREE testing sites this week in partnership with Bakersfield City School District. 

In addition to the FREE testing sites, the collaborative launched a new mental health and wellness hotline handling a variety of topics such as virtual education classrooms, employment concerns, and general worry about the safety of oneself and the safety our family. “We are continue to serve our community and bring our services to some of the most underserved ares of Kern County,” said Jay Tamsi, co-founder of the Kern County Latino COVID-19 Task Force.

Tamsi added that the county is still required to meet state guidelines to remain at this stage of being open or to be moved forward. Among the key weekly benchmarks are increased testing results.

This week’s testing sites are as follows:  

WHEN: Monday, January 11 (10 A.M. to 3 P.M.)
WHERE: Emerson Middle School, 801 4th Street, Bakersfield, CA 93304

WHEN: Tuesday, January 12 (10 A.M. to 3 .P.M.)
WHERE: Casa Loma Elementary School, 525 E Casa Loma Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93307
