Congratulations to our President/CEO Jay Tamsi who was elected as the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce CENTRAL REGION CHAIRMAN, we can’t wait to see what the future holds during your term. 

Through his work at the KCHCC, Tamsi is responsible for building up membership and assuming leadership roles and boosting the local business economy by developing and implementing the KCHCC Business Academy programs, which are eight weeks in length and has served and prepared over seven-hundred entrepreneurs and new business owners within the past years. Tamsi continues to reach new successful milestones for the KCHCC. 

In 2020, Tamsi co-founded and is the project manager of California’s first Kern County Latino Covid-19 Task Force to save lives through outreach, education, and awareness to find solutions to the disproportionate social and economic impact of Covid-19 on the Latino Community. Tamsi has been recognized by Federal, State and Local officials for his efforts and distinguished endeavors on flattening the Covid-19 curve.

For six years Tamsi proudly served as a California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Board of Director, as the Central Region Director which he leads chambers from Bakersfield to Chico, now he is the Chairman of the  Central Region.

Most recently, Tamsi was honored to be the Master of Ceremonies for a special Congressional Gold Medal ceremony honoring 35 Filipino World War II Veterans heroes. He was honored to represent his Filipino culture as the grandson of his late grandfather, a proud veteran of the United States Army, Marcelo Sabado Tamsi as well as his living father, a proud veteran of the United Stated Air Force Jim Tamsi, Sr.
